At its home race last weekend at Misano, Ducati has reached a significant milestone. Thanks to the performances of the factory riders Fabrizio and Haga, and of privateer Shane Byrne, Ducati reached and exceeded 700 podiums since it first participated in the World Superbike Championship. After eight rounds, Ducati Xerox rider Noriyuki Haga leads the championship with 292 points and Michel Fabrizio is close behind, in third with 237 points. Ducati is also dominating the Manufacturers classification with 351 points ahead of Yamaha. The Ducati Xerox Team will race this coming weekend at historic Donington Park, the scene of the first ever Superbike race held back in 1988 and won by now Ducati Xerox Team Manager Davide Tardozzi.
