In last weekends French round of MotoGP, Nickey Hayden continued his strong run of finishes by passing Dani Pedrosa on the last lap to finish 5th. Nickey is now only three points out of third place in the rider's championship behind Dovizioso and Pedrosa. Stoner crashed out early in the race.
The U.S. round of WSBK is this weekend from Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. It looks like a promising round for Ducati with Carlos Checa on pole, Jakub Smrz is 4th and Haga 6th. Both races will be shown on Speed at 5pm on Monday.
At the Springfield Mile dirt track race Joe Knopp came in 5th on his Ducati Sport Classic.
In the Isle of Man TT races, Michael Rutter will now be riding for Honda instead of Ducati. Rutter will be riding for the HM Plant Honda team replacing Steve Plater who was injured in a crash at the Northwest 200. The TT runs from May 29 to June 11.

It has been an up and down season so far for the factory WSBK team. At Assen the privateer Ducatis of Checa and Smrz finished 4th and 7th. Haga finished 6th in race one at Monza with Fabrizio crashing out. In race two Fabrizio ended up 7th with Haga coming in 11th. At Kyalami Fabrizio and Checa finished 1st and 2nd in race one and Checa came in 5th in race two.
Things could get better for the factory team with the rumored Troy Bayliss comeback in June. We can only hope!
Nickey Hayden seems to be getting up to speed on the MotoGP bike with two 4th place finishes at Quatar and Jerez. Stoner crashed out of the lead at Quatar and scored a 5th place at Jerez.
This weekend MotoGP races at LeMans in France. In the first practice Stoner is 2nd and Hayden is 7th.
Also of interest is Brit Michael Rutter running a 1098R at the Isle of Man TT in June. On May 3rd Ducati won their first ever AMA Pro Flat Track win in Arizona. Joe Kopp rode a modified Ducati Sport Classic to a win over the class favorite Harley Davidson XR750.
